Ending the Year on a Strong Note
As we move into the end of the year, it’s important to take stock of where we are and where we want to be. For many people, this time is to reflect on the past and set goals for the future. It is also important to take time for ourselves during the busy holiday season. However, it can be a difficult balance to strike, but it’s important to focus on what was and what will be most important to us.
These simple tips can set you up for success in the new year.
- Review and Evaluate your year by taking a look at these four areas
A) Your career and what you did this year to help move this along.
B) Your relationships, what ones are serving you well, what ones are not, and why?
C) Your finances are one of life’s biggest stressors, so it is essential to understand where you are and where you need to be next year. What went well and what did not? Most importantly, what is in your control to change?
D) Your health is crucial as it can impact your productivity and ability to do your job well. If you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed, it can be difficult to focus on work and be as productive. It is also challenging to be present, including those in your personal life. I chose to write about this last to anchor the first three areas because if you are not doing well, the other three will follow the same fate at the end of the day. - Looking forward
